The Convenience Center is located at the corner of Kaywood and Avon Streets. City and County residents are encouraged to dispose of large and small trash items at the center.

Customers will be asked to sign in with their name and address by the attendant on duty.

• City residents must bring a current city bill showing garbage service to use the center free of charge for the disposal of residential trash.
• All commercial, county residents, and those not paying for garbage services are charged tipping fees.
• Brush and metal are both recycled. Mulch located at the Center is free to the public.

*Cash, check, and Credit/Debit Cards accepted for payment.

*The City of Portales reserves the right to refuse bulk loads or prohibited items (no items with Freon, bulk loads of tumble weeds, etc.) If you have any questions, please call for additional information.
